Members of the community surrounding North Clinton Avenue in Rochester, NY express their desire for a safer and more opportunity rich neighborhood. This particular neighborhood has great people, new investments, and has a passion for change. However, it has become widely known as one of the biggest open-air drug markets in upstate New York, serving drug users from several different counties. The municipal core of Rochester, NY has one the highest rates of child poverty in the United States.

This neighborhood is also the home of Project HOPE, an initiative of the Ibero-American Development Corporation working with residents to improve the overall health and well-being of the community. Residents and business owners have made great strides to improve the quality of life in the neighborhood, but still face many obstacles regarding health, education, employment opportunities and crime. Open-Air Drug Markets affect residents in our community, this video was created to raise awareness as to why this issue matters and serves as a voice to the many neighborhoods with this problem.
